Now Sydney

It’s Boxing Day in Aussie Land (December 26, 2013). The weather was great! Heaps of people out that day! Not just for the shopping, but just to tour around and enjoy the nice weather after a shitty Christmas rain. I took my stroll up through Hyde Park and to the Rock in Sydney! The Rock was really nice! It has the feeling of old Sydney with cobble stone roads and cafes everywhere! It was seemed very European, so it was very different and cool.
From the Rocks, I headed to the Harbour Bridge. The view from the bridge was so nice; you can seethe Opera House and you can see Lunar Park from it. Kind of awkward because most of my pictures are selfies… I had to go around to ask people for my pictures to be taken… I guess that’s one of the down sides of traveling by yourself.
After the walk across the Harbour Bridge, I was in Circular Quay and I was back at the Opera House. The weather was more optimal for seeing the Opera House today. The sun was shining and the air was humid! I decided to take a tour inside the Opera House just to say I went into the Sydney Opera House. From the concert hall all made of wood to the opera stage, which was surprisingly small. (I thought it was an opera house, why is the concert hall so much bigger?) I went back to my hostel for dinner now. They had $1 Aussie hot dogs. One-dollar hot dog sounded really good for my college budget since Australia is destroying my money! The hot dog wasn’t bad. Whatever that is; to be honest, it seemed like a regular hot dogs grilled by Aussies in Australia. This day was a lot of walking that’s for sure, but I got through it! I got to my room, and my roomie happened to be these three German girls and a guy from New Zealand. We went out for a wine run and were able to score $6 bottles of wine! Yay winning! We sat the rooftop of the hostel looking at the view and chugging our wine! We spoke of our past experiences and why we were in Australia!
The drinks kicked in after about an hour of hanging out at the rooftop. We headed to a bar right next to the hostel called Scubar. It was free to get in for all of us, and we started our outing with a tequila shot. Couple shots later, I was feeling good and the music was good! It was just go damn hot, so we stepped out every couple minutes just go to catch a breath. We tried to make it go another bar that night, but one girl got separated, and I was exhausted, so we went to and bed.
The next morning (December 27, 2013) I woke up around 12pm. It was nice to know that I don’t have to rush to see Sydney! I made a phone call today to the Gold Coast Transportation to get inquiries about my bag. They found it! It is in the office, and I need to send a prepaid bag to have it shipped to an address of my choice! Great, I see hope for my bag! I went to King’s Cross for their post office and I found my second Sydney hostel on my way. After couple miscommunications, I got my bag and I put down the address for it to be sent to my Aunt’s house in Korea. Yay! I’m getting my bag back, but things are going to change. This bag will be a little harder to get.

I was done worrying about my bag, and now, I was on my way to see the Chinese Garden of Friendship! This garden really took me back to my time in China for the China Summer Program. This is shout out to the CSP bitches! From there, I went back to the hostel and took a shower! A friend of mine from the hostel and I decided it was a good time for dinner, so we took the bus to Manly Beach. I took a nice walk on the beach and enjoyed a nice pizza dinner! Then we took a risk of missing the last bus back home, and we went to Coogee beach for a walk around the South Head and North Head. No pics because it was way too dark! Back home and a night of drinking with the hostel mates.
